Tính chất vật lý của Soda ash light Công thức hóa học: Na2CO3 Bột màu trắng không mùi, không vị. Điểm nóng chảy: 856°C Độ hòa tan: Hòa tan tự do trong nước, không hòa tan trong etanol.
Tính chất hóa học của Soda ash light Phản ứng với axit tạo ra sản phẩm là muối, nước và giải phóng khí CO2. Phản ứng với bazơ tạo thành bazơ mới và muối mới. Phản ứng với muối tạo ra hai muối mới. Làm quỳ tím chuyển xanh: Khi tan trong nước, hóa chất Na2CO3 bị phân thủy phân tạo ra môi trường bazơ làm đổi màu chất chỉ thị dung dịch phenolphtalein không màu thành màu hồng và làm cho quỳ tím hóa xanh. Na2CO3 không bị nhiệt phân ở nhiệt độ cao.
