Nghiên cứu ảnh hưởng của khối lượng riêng và độ nhớt đến thời gian trộn khi chúng được trộn trong các điều kiện khác nhau (loại cánh, loại máy, và tốc độ của máy khuấy), cũng như vị trí của việc bổ sung chất lỏng với chất lỏng thứ hai trong buồng trộn. Khi một chất lỏng thêm vào nhẹ hơn khối chất lỏng đã có trong buồng trộn, sẽ tạo ra hiệu thời gian trộn cần nhiều hơn, tốc độ khuấy thấp hơn. Khi chất lỏng được thêm vị trí gần cánh, thời gian trộn không khác biệt. Và quá trình nghiên cứu đã chỉ ra được mối quan hệ giữa độ nhớt của chất lỏng và dạng cánh khuấy trộn.
